Terms of Service

Welcome to Tri-state Poop Pickers, a professional pooper scooper service that provides pet waste removal for residential and commercial customers in Dubuque, Iowa and surrounding areas. By signing up for our service, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

Service Schedule

We will visit your property on a regular basis according to the service plan you choose (weekly, every other week, monthly, etc.). We will notify you by text message on your scheduled service day approximately 15 minutes before we arrive.  We reserve the right to adjust our schedule due to weather, holidays, or other factors. If we are unable to service your property on your scheduled day, we will reschedule it as soon as possible and inform you of the change.

Access to Property

You are responsible for ensuring that we have access to your property and the area where your pets do their business. We will not climb or jump over fences, gates, or walls to perform our service. Please make sure that your pets are secured or confined during our service time, especially if they are aggressive or protective. We love pets, but we value our safety and your pets safety. If we encounter an unsafe situation, we will skip your service and contact you to reschedule.

Service Quality

We will do our best to remove all visible pet waste from your property using our tools and equipment. We will bag the waste and take it with us. If you are not satisfied with our service for any reason, please let us know within 24 hours and we will come back to redo it for free or issue a credit for your next service.

Tall Grass, Leaves, and Debris

We will always do our best to clean your yard the best that we can. We understand that maintaining your yard is a lot of work and it may not always be in the best shape. The customer understands that it can be very difficult to find dog poop in tall grass or in a yard full of leaves or other debris. If your grass is tall when we come, there may be some dog waste that is missed. We will be back on our next scheduled visit and will get anything that was missed if yard maintenance is complete.

Winter

The winter months present unique challenges and there are necessary adjustments we must make to our normal scooping policy at this time of year.  If the weather remains clement, we can usually keep close to our regular schedule. If it snows on your regularly scheduled day, we will scoop you on your next scheduled pick-up. Keep in mind that if poop is hidden in the snow or frozen to the ground, we can’t pick it up; it will be removed (weather permitting) on your next scheduled pick-up. Important to note: if we are hit with a winter storm and must skip your scheduled day, there is no charge, and we will stop on your next scheduled service day.

Payment and Billing

We accept payment by credit card, check, cash or Venmo. We will send you an invoice by email at the beginning of each month for the previous months service.  Payment is due seven days after the receipt of the invoice. If a past due amounts are not paid in full within 15 days of receipt your account will be put on hold until the past due amount is paid in full.  If your payment is declined or returned, you will be responsible for any fees incurred. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your service if your account is delinquent.

Cancellation and Refund

You can cancel or suspend your service at any time by giving us a 48-hour notice by email or phone. We will confirm your cancellation or suspension by email or phone.
